Mother Ruth Ann Jewell                               February 5, 1957 - October 7, 2013

Ruth Jewell was born on February 5, 1957, the daughter of Mary Williams and William Edward Rice, Jr. in Indianapolis, Indiana. When Mother Ruth was nine years old, she used to cook on her Easy Bake Oven for her siblings. Surely this is what led her to being a chef for 25 years. She retired in 2008. She was a faithful member of First Church of Deliverance and Recovery. She was a dedicated member and served on various auxiliaries.

Ruth enjoyed writing scriptures on index cards to pass it to people for encouragement.Ruth loved EVERYBODY and especially the elderly. She was preceded in death by her grandmother LaRuth Bufford.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Johnny Jewell; Daughters, Chandra Smith (Indianapolis, Indiana), Monica Lawrence (Indianapolis, Indiana), Felicia (Alphonso) Smith (Indianapolis, Indiana), Latasha (Kenny) Walker (Indianapolis, Indiana); Siblings, Brenda (Jimmy) Ward, Calvin (Ruby) Lee, Glenda (Emory) Hollenquest, Harold (Pamela) Williams; 9 Grandsons and 2 Granddaughters and 2 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until noon Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.

Mark Andrew Nadelin                         September 11, 1987- December 24, 2012

Mark Andrew Nadelin 25 of Avon, IN, formerly of Portage, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 24, 2012 from an aortic dissection. Mark was born Sept. 11, 1987 in Kalamazoo, MI, to John and Patty (Horsfall) Nadelin. He was a graduate of Purdue University. He worked as a technical writer for Safis Solutions, and at Launch Pad Music as a keyboard instructor and recording engineer.

An extraordinarily talented musician, Mark played many instruments, his favorite the Hammond B3 Organ. He volunteered his time to First Church of Deliverance & Recovery and Cityview Christian Center, both in Indianapolis, playing in their worship bands and providing IT computer support. He was also known for his Christian faith, intelligence, and strong opinions yet gentle style.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Jacob; sister, Maria; special sister, Arlyn Sanchez; paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Nadelin; aunts, Lin Nadelin, Pam (Roger) Letcher, and Nancy (Russ) Tinklenberg; many cousins, friends (including online friends from all over the world), and beloved cat Miles Davis.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Life Church Indianapolis, 9101 W. 10th Street.
